The number of cells of the catalyst carrier (core) is a contradictory factor in the relationship between engine output and exhaust gas purification capacity. Decreasing the number of cells will increase the output and decrease the purification capacity, and increasing the number of cells will increase the purification capacity and decrease the output.
In REIMAX, in order to achieve both of these contradictory properties, we adopted a [Double Substrate] structure in which cores with a small number of cells are arranged in two stages in series. As a result, it is possible to increase the purification capacity while reducing the exhaust resistance, and while achieving the same output improvement as a general sports catalyzer with a single stage core, a high purification capacity has been secured.
